Lam Mee, Street Food, Non-Halal
Spice Pisa Cafe Lam Mee. Lam Mee is also called 'Birthday Mee' as it is often served during birthday celebrations to symbolize longevity. The blanched yellow noodle and bean sprouts are garnished with prawns, shredded chicken meat, omelette strips, chopped coriander, fried onions and garlic oil before the broth is poured over them.
The freshly prepared sambal belacan is not to be missed too as it brings the taste of this noodle dish to a even more delightful level. Mdm Tay, the friendly proprietress, says her lam mee is served in a bowl to allow her customers to enjoy the extra amount of broth. True enough, I enjoyed the clear, light and tasty broth to its last drop.
