Chee Cheong Fun, Street Food, Non-Halal
Super Tanker Food Court in Taman Lip Sin is open from 6.00 am till midnight every day.
I ordered with a plate of chee cheong fun because it looked good on another table as I was walking into this big food court. The chee cheong fun stall in the Super Tanker Food Court that sells other local favourite snacks too.
The prices of the snacks available at this chee cheong fun stall in the Super Tanker Food Court.
Camera-shy but very friendly proprietress, Ms Tan, preparing chee cheong fun for her customer.
Chee cheong fun, steamed rice rolls served with sweet sauce, hei ko, chilli paste, fried shallots and sesame seeds, RM3.50.
The steamed rice rolls together with the sweet and savoury sauce must had awoken my taste buds and a plate of popiah followed. Popiah, fresh spring rolls with generous amount of fragrant and sweet tasting stewed sengkuang filling, RM4.50 for two rolls.
But I was still not satiated and ended ordering the other three items the stall had to offer, the pai tee, or kueh and chui kueh. Pai Tee, crispy pastry shells filled with a tasty mixture of shredded sengkuang, fried shallots and zesty chilli sauce, RM5.00 for 5 pieces.
Or Kueh, steamed yam cake topped with dried shrimps, fried shallots, green onions and chilli, RM4.00.
Chui kueh, steamed rice cake topped with dried shrimps, preserved turnip, green onions and chilli, RM2.50.
It might be an occasional overindulgence but no regrets, as all of them were light, in appropriate portions and delightfully tasty.
