Chiefeater Howard Chan had a lovely lunch at Long Yan Seafood Restaurant after an enjoyable ride to Port Dickson before heading home

Gathering for a lunch catch-up at Taste & Memories turned out to be a delightful surprise, filled with unexpected blessings and culinary delights. As my friend and I settled in, little did we know that our meal would be generously paid for by another friend who happened to be dining at the next table.
Our meal began with a fried seafood and meat meehoon - a dish that, while tasty in its own right, paled in comparison to the culinary wonders that were yet to come. The flavours of the seafood and meat melded together harmoniously, creating a satisfying dish that served as a prelude to the feast that awaited us.

However, once the other dishes arrived, our dining experience was transformed. The fried pepper pork lard, with its irresistible aroma and robust flavours, immediately captured our attention. Crispy, savoury, and infused with the perfect amount of heat from the pepper. It was a dish that left a lasting impression, quickly becoming the star of our meal. I might add that it was probably very unhealthy too.

But the culinary delights did not end there. The pork belly dish, with its succulent slices of tender meat and perfectly rendered fat, was a fitting addition dish to our lunch.

In the end, as we bid farewell to Taste & Memories, our hearts were full, our bellies satisfied, and our spirits lifted by the joy of good food and good company.
