Steamed Pork, Non-Halal
The steamed pork patty at Taste Memories is a flavourful tribute to the kind of honest, homestyle cooking that brings back fond memories of childhood meals. Though slightly on the firm side in texture, the taste more than made up for it—it was deeply savoury – the way I like it to taste.

Topped with a salted egg yolk, the patty had a nostalgic charm that reminded me of dishes from old-school Chinese home kitchens. What truly surprised me was how this patty managed to do something I rarely let happen: it made me reach for rice. That sauce, seeping into the grains, transformed it into a comforting, deeply satisfying bite.

Accompanied by crunchy greens, a fried egg, and a small assortment of pickled vegetables, this dish is beautifully balanced. It’s hearty, soulful, and exactly what you want when craving something classic, uncomplicated, but packed with flavour. Definitely one to order again.
