Gesek Geprek Wangsa Maju Ayam Gepuk

Thai
I recently opted for a food delivery from The Little B Thai Cafe in Bandar Puchong Jaya, and the experience was somewhat lackluster. This eatery says it specializes in authentic home-style dishes from the Buriram province in Thailand’s Isan region. However this particular meal didn’t quite live up to those expectations.
I ordered the Thai Grilled Chicken, which was acceptable but ultimately disappointing. The meat felt dry and had a noticeably funky aroma. A major word of caution for this dish: the accompanying dipping sauce carries a serious heat level that might be overwhelming for some.

The Tomyam Fried Rice – I will describe as “meh”. The texture was a bit too wet for my personal liking, lacking the distinct, separated grains often expected in a good fried rice.

Jen had the Stir Fried Basil with Rice (Pork), which featured a fried egg on top. That too was spicy.
Stir Fried Basil with Rice (Pork) – RM20.90
Thai Grilled Chicken – RM24.70
Tomyam Fried Rice (Pork) – RM23.40
Subtotal – RM69.00
Promotion Discount – RM7.00
Total Bill – RM62.00
Average price of RM31 per pax
Score: 6.3/10
M – Meal Value
The prices are slightly higher than average for casual Thai delivery. While the portions were decent, the quality of the chicken and the texture of the fried rice made it feel like poor value for money this time around.
Score: 6.0/10
V – Vroomness of Delivery
Delivery came quick
Score: 7.0/10
X – X-Factor
The true X-factor here is the authenticity of their Isan-style recipes, which can be hit or miss depending on personal preference for bold, rustic flavors and intense spice levels.
