There was a time when the chicken chop at Union Coffee Citta Mall was my reliable go-to whenever I had meetings nearby. These days, I don’t find myself in that area as often, but I happened to be around recently and decided to take the Mongolian chicken chop to go. That means I tapau.
Glad to report it still holds up. The chicken was tender with a well-seared crust, and the tangy, spicy Mongolian sauce added just the right amount of zing to the dish. Priced at RM27.90 now, it’s certainly gone up since my last visit, but the taste hasn’t faltered.
What impressed me most was how well it travelled. Despite a fairly long journey home (the traffic was rather heavy), the chicken chop arrived intact and still enjoyable — not something every takeaway can boast. Union Coffee Citta Mall is still a solid choice if you’re around Citta and looking for a comforting, flavourful bite.
