Lunch at VCR Galloway brought an unexpected delight in the form of their intriguingly named Mario & Luigi (RM30), a mushroom-based spaghetti dish that has earned its spot on their menu as our new veggie favourite.
This dish was a celebration of simplicity done right. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente, with just the right amount of bite to carry the rich, earthy flavour of the mushrooms. The seasoning was spot-on, with a balance that allowed the natural umami of the mushrooms to shine without being overpowered by excessive saltiness or herbs. And the pasta was done al-dente.
VCR Galloway is into its 10th year and has shown no sign of slowing down in terms of quality and offerings.
