Hameediyah Masjid India Briyani
Briyani, Pork-Free
- RM20 - RM50 per pax
Chiefeater Paula Tan was at Hameediyah Masjid India, Malaysia’s oldest nasi kandar legend from Penang, and had their briyani
Japanese, Omakase, Pork-Free
Had a special lunch today at Wako Sushi Omakase Paragon . There were two of us, so we ordered both of their special lunch sets to try out. RM198+ for a A5 wagyu grill Don and RM 98+ for a Tara / Codfish grill Don.
6 Course Meal
1) sweet corn tofu, truffle flavour ebiko, iceprant , dashisauce .
Very nice texture of tofu. Just like eating ice cream and so flavourful
2) Hotaruika/fireflysquid salad onion , spinach, fried garlic , ponzu dressing.
They make x it with pomelo, very refreshing and love the fried garlic. So perfectly fried. Very crunchy . just like eating biscuit
3) Kisu/sillaginidae tempura with inaniwa udon mentai butter, nori/ seaweed
The fish is nice but is a bit salty side for my liking. The udon, so soft and the whole dish was so comfortable to eat
4) Main course
A5 Wagyu slices with Don and Tara / Codfish grill Don
The beef was soft and flavourful . It was grill with perfection. And the codfish, the flavour was resistible. So soft and fragrant. and the tamago was so special. The texture so solid and the flavour so hard to pin point, I can’t describe. You have to try it your own to know. Both dish was excellent but I personally love the fish more then A5 wagyu.
5) Miso soup
Is not a simple miso soup. I never tasted a miso soup with this kind of taste. So light yet fragrant and at the end you can feel a bit so sourness. And that little bit of sourness Will click into your throat and taste bud. Unforgettable!
6) Caramel Pudding
My star of the dish today .
The pudding was so intense, and incredible. The flavour of the eggs and caramel just swim slowly through my throat and into my heart. The best caramel pudding I ever had. The Chef gave me another cup of it with stronger caramel (the taste I prefer).
Overall I enjoy it very very very much. And thanks to chef and the team for a memorable lunch.
FYI. Need to makes reservations.
