Beef Noodles, Pork-Free
The stir-fried beef noodle with ginger at Wong Zhi Noodle turned out to be a delightful lunch option. Priced at RM11.80, it offered good value with a generous portion of tender beef layered over springy noodles. The presentation itself was inviting, with the beef almost entirely covering the noodles — a sight that promised satisfaction.

The beef was cooked to perfection, tender and full of savoury depth, with a hint of ginger that added warmth to every bite. The noodles, stir-fried with skill, had just the right texture, absorbing the flavours beautifully without becoming overly soft.

I decided to enhance the dish by adding two fried eggs (RM2 each), which were cooked with crispy edges and runny yolks. Breaking the yolk over the noodles brought a velvety richness that elevated the meal further.
To complete the experience, a hot cup of coffee (RM3.30) paired well with the savoury dish. The coffee, priced affordably, retained its strong and comforting flavour, rounding off the meal perfectly.
For a total cost that remains reasonable, Wong Zhi Noodle delivers a satisfying and flavourful meal — one that I’d happily return for, especially on days when a hearty noodle dish feels like the right choice.
