Yat Sing Smokehouse started with humble beginnings as a home cook but has since graduated to their own premises at Taman Salak Selatan. Opting for one of their signature platters, which had to be pre-ordered, I was impressed by their integrity. They guided me through the ordering process, ensuring that I selected the right amount to avoid any wastage, a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the rest of the dining experience.
Our order was Pork-Zilla and a Chicken Porx Platter. As the platters arrived at our table, I was pleased with their presentation.
The baked beans, served alongside the honey biscuits, were a revelation. Rich and flavourful, with just the right balance of sweetness and smokiness, they provided the perfect accompaniment to the hearty meats.
The succulent sausages were the star, grilled to perfection with a satisfying crunch on the outside and juicy tenderness within.
The other standout was the price of the dinner. It came up to just RM630 for 8 of us. This included a RM100 fee corkage fee for a bottle of whiskey that we had brought along. Certainly a good value.
Throughout our meal, the service remained impeccable, with the staff ensuring that we had a good dining experience. Kudos to Maggie and Aaron, the founder of Yat Sing Smokehouse.
