Ramen, Pork-Free
A visit to Le Shrimp Noodle Bar Damansara Heights with Chiefeater Don Son led to a truly aromatic and deeply satisfying bowl of Ebikko Prawn Ball Shrimp Ramen (RM35.90). From the moment the bowl arrived, the heady scent of prawns filled the air, promising a rich, umami-laden experience—and it did not disappoint.
The Broth is an Ocean of Flavour.
The broth was the star of the dish, carrying an intense prawn essence that had clearly been coaxed out through a long, careful simmering process. The natural sweetness of crustaceans, combined with a deep savouriness, made each spoonful incredibly satisfying. The reddish hue of the broth suggested the presence of prawn shells, heads, and aromatics, blended to perfection. I could not help but finish the broth.

Noodles – A Perfectly Cooked Foundation
The noodles were fantastic—cooked to al dente perfection, offering just the right amount of bite and chew. They soaked up the flavourful broth beautifully without turning soft, making for a well-balanced mouthfeel.

Accompaniments – Complementing the Richness
The bowl was complemented by succulent prawn balls and vegetables, adding texture and variety to the dish. On the side, dishes like edamame and seasoned greens provided a refreshing contrast to the bold, umami-packed broth.
Side Dish
The poached lettuce (RM10.90) we had was equally satisfying. There I go with that word again. It was just a deeply satisfying prawn noodles albeit a pricey one eventhough it was a treat from Chiefeater Don.

If I want to be succinct on what this is, think of this as a premium har mee where you don’t have to worry about MSG. Give this a try at Le Shrimp Noodle Bar Damansara Heights Damansara Heights or any of their outlets.
