Chiefeater Tai Kwee Fatt caught with some friends over breakfast of fried tofu and fish balls at Lian Shin Coffee Shop
Nasi Lemak, Chicken Chop, Non-Halal
We visited Zuo An shortly after they opened and they were already almost full. Every seat inside had been taken and there were only 3 empty tables outdoors. While there were fans in the outdoor area, it still felt a bit warm as it was a warm sunny day. Zuo An is a bungalow at Taman Yarl
I had the Salted Egg Chicken Chop (RM18) which looked pretty good. While the chicken was good, I the Salted Egg sauce that came with it lacked any kick even though it was supposed to be spicy. Fortunately, the chicken chop was quite tasty on its own.
The Fried Pork Nasi Lemak (RM18) was generously portioned. And the presentation on this was even better than the chicken chop. This was a case where the execution on the food complemented the plating. The rice was fragrant. The fried pork was crispy yet tender to the bite.
Jen had a Sparkling Yuzu (RM12) which she enjoyed. I didn’t enjoy my Kopi (RM6) as much.
Zoo An welcomes pet owners to bring their fur children here. The space outside is good for dogs and when we were there, there were many fur friends there.
Prices are nett.
Zuo An warrants another visit to try the other food that they serve here. I just hope I can get a place inside the next time.
