Fico Dinner
Fine Dining, Non-Halal
Chiefeater Eddie Low celebrates his friend's dinner with a fine dine meal at Fico which he has not been back to for 5 years
Pork Ribs, Prawns, Pizza, Non-Halal
Lunch at Bottega PJ with my friends turned out to be another delightful experience, following my previous good encounter with their pizza. We were eager to explore more of their menu and were met with a delicious array of dishes.
The Saucisse pizza (RM40++) was just as good as I remembered it. The thin crust was perfectly baked, and the combination of flavourful sausages and cheese made each bite a delight.
The Gambas al Ajillo (RM29++) was another hit, featuring succulent prawns sautéed with garlic, guanciale, white wine, parsley & pepper. The flavours were bold, and the prawns were perfectly cooked, making it an excellent choice for seafood enthusiasts.
Moving on to the main courses, the Bracio (RM45++), which consisted of grilled pork shoulder rolled with bacon, was a tender and mouthwatering delight.
The Succulent Pork Ribs (RM50++) which had been cooked for 7 hours were equally impressive, seasoned to perfection and falling off the bone with every bite.
However, the Les Champignons Ravioli (RM29++) and New Sorrento Gnocchi (RM29++) left something to be desired. Though they were well-seasoned, their texture was too soft for our liking, lacking the desired bite that I would expect to find in pasta dishes. It was a small letdown compared to the other delightful offerings on the menu.
Despite this minor setback with the pasta, the overall lunch at Bottega PJ was still highly enjoyable. The ambiance was welcoming, the service was attentive, and the majority of the dishes we tried were truly satisfying. Our meal for 4 came up to just about RM80 per person, which is not too high a price to pay for a good meal.
