Thanks to Chiefeater Chris Cheong, we discovered a “new” eatery at Ben’s Independent Grocer,LINC KL. It’s in brackets because it has been around since the Ben’s grocer opened at LINC. It’s just that few people knew about its existence. Well, you can now count yourself among the cognoscenti.
This “new” eatery is nestled among butcher and the wine racks of the grocer. They serve roast pork and you can buy the meat, ham, sausages or even the canned meat on the aisles and have them cook it for you. We had 300g of roast pork (RM10 for every 100g), Iberico steak and a can of Richam luncheon meat and they fried that for us.


We paired the food with two bottles of South Australian reds from the Kalleske vinery that produces organic wines, a Cabernet Sauvignon (RM170) and a Shiraz. The wines are available on the rack and you just pick it up, pay for it and drink it there. And if you can’t finish it, you can bring it home.

All in, a great place to hang out with a few friends after work especially if you don’t want to be caught in rush hour traffic.
