Chicken Chop, Pork-Free
It was my first time visiting Souled OUT Ampang at its new locale in LINC. I decided to delve into a classic comfort dish – the Hainanese Chicken Chop. Opting for the chicken chop, a dish that has become somewhat of a litmus test for my culinary experiences, I found myself greeted by a plate that held promise. However, my enthusiasm took a momentary dip as I engaged with the texture of the chicken. The chicken, unfortunately, leaned towards the side of hardness, creating a sensory dissonance that diverged from the anticipated succulence.
While the texture left room for improvement, the flavour profile of the chicken chop managed to salvage the overall dining experience. The taste was commendable, striking a balance that aligned with expectations. The seasoning added a savoury dimension, albeit the textural anomaly.
A contemplative pause led me to ponder recent encounters with chicken chops at various establishments. The realization dawned that the joy derived from this dish (outside my favourites in Puchong_ seemed elusive in recent experiences.
The relocation to LINC has brought a fresh energy to Souled OUT Ampang, and the ambiance contributes significantly to the overall dining atmosphere. The vibrant surroundings, coupled with the eclectic décor, create an inviting space for patrons to to hold casual events here. The space on the ground floor will accommodate 100 pax easily.
