Since its inception in November 2021, this Japanese omakase restaurant, under the expert guidance of Chefs Yuji Sato from Hokkaido and Chef Yusuke Kanawa from Chiba, has been garnering acclaim from discerning diners. Chef Sato previously honed his craft at the esteemed Hashida Singapore and brings his expertise and passion for traditional Japanese cuisine to every dish.
Located adjacent to Min Jiang at Dempsey, the entrance to Sushi Sato is discreetly tucked away in a quaint “back alley,” adding to its allure as a hidden culinary treasure. As avid patrons of Dempsey’s vibrant dining scene, stumbling upon this was a fortuitous discovery.
Upon stepping into the intimate space, one is immediately struck by its understated elegance and attention to detail. The restaurant offers a private room accommodating up to six guests, as well as a main counter with seating for up to nine. It’s a layout that fosters a sense of intimacy and camaraderie among diners.

As is customary in omakase establishments, the menu at Sushi Sato is simple yet refined, with lunch sets starting from SGD220 and dinner from SGD380. Each dish is meticulously crafted to showcase the essence of Japanese culinary tradition, transporting diners on a gastronomic journey to Kyoto in Dempsey.
