Located the heart of Upper Thompson, Nummun Thai Kitchen brings the vibrant flavours of Krungthep to Singaporean shores. Helmed by the passionate K. Cat, whose culinary journey began assisting her parents in their Thai food stall, Nummun Thai is a labor of love. Married to Stuart, a Singaporean she met in Dubai, K. Cat's commitment to quality and authenticity shines through in every dish.
As a regular patron, visiting more than once every two weeks, I've had the pleasure of exploring their menu extensively. K. Cat's dedication to using fresh ingredients, particularly her insistence on sourcing fresh prawns and crabs, underscores her commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience.
While Nummun Thai Kitchen offers all the classic Thai favorites, from Tomyam to Yum Won Sen, it's the attention to detail and quality that sets it apart. The boiled cockles, accompanied by an array of lime chili sweet sour sauces, are a standout, evoking memories of lively lok-lok stalls after a night of revelry.

However, the true highlight of the our recent meal there was the impeccably executed Thai-style salt baked sea bass. With a crispy exterior giving way to tender, juicy flesh, it ranks among the best I've ever tasted.

Reflecting on my time in Bangkok, where simple stir-fried dishes and bustling street food stalls were the norm, Nummun Thai evokes a sense of nostalgia. From Khao Men Gai to Yen Ta Fo, each dish is a testament to the rich tapestry of Thai cuisine.
Nummun Thai may not boast fancy culinary accolades, but its authenticity and passion for quality shine through in every bite. With a highly recommended rating of 4 out of 5, and a total bill of $119 for three diners, it's undoubtedly one of my top Thai dining options in Singapore. For a taste of Thailand that transports you back to the streets of Bangkok, look no further than Nummun Thai.
