Chicken Chop, Nasi Lemak, Non-Halal
Brewhouse Puchong Jaya was the first of the Brewhouses to open in Puchong. They offer good value for money when it comes to food and drinks. David and I decided to have lunch there since it was a short walk from the train station. The parking around that area is nightmarish, so we decided we would take the train over.
I had the Hainanese Chicken Chop (RM22.80++) while David had a Nasi Lemak with Pork Curry (RM19.80++)
The Nasi was Lemak and fragrant. It was flavoured with a generous amount of pandan, even giving the rice a green hue. The pork curry had a good tangy flavour that complemented well with the rice. However, the nice touch was the soft boiled eggs they used. So if you want a Nasi Lemak with a slight difference, Brewhouse is surprisingly one of the places where you can find it.

The Hainanese Chicken Chop looked appealling. Bright colours brought out the whole dish visually. However, the chicken was a bit tough though well seasoned. The sauce that came with it was a spicy tomato variety. Not too bad at all. It was just let down by the chicken meat.

What wasn’t very good value at Brewhouse Puchong was the Erdinger at RM38.80++ for a bottle. I made the mistake of ordering without asking the price first.
