Trying out Dim Loong Dim Sum
Dim Sum
- RM20 - RM50 per pax
Chiefeater Andy Ng and his wife decided to try the food at Dim Loong Dim Sum which opened in 2025

Chinese, Fine Dining, Non-Halal
Dinner at Yue He was an eagerly anticipated event, spurred on by glowing reviews from Chiefeater Howard Chan and Miko Teck. With a small group of four, we opted for the Personal Set Menu, priced at RM298++ per person (minimum 2 pax).
This curated experience included:
Smoked Bacon with Scallop Roll
Double Boiled Chicken Soup with Fish Maw
“Shun Tak” 4 Head South Africa Abalone
Pan Fried Pork Ribs with Red Wine Paste
Braised Mee Hoon with Kuruma Shrimp in Cheese Paste
Salted Egg Yolks Custard Bun

The dishes were presented with exquisite attention to detail, served individually for each diner.
The Smoked Bacon with Scallop Roll stood out as my favourite. The scallop was perfectly tender and delicately wrapped in smoky bacon, offering a delightful balance of savoury and umami flavours. It paired beautifully with the Robert Mondavi wine that my friend brought along, elevating the experience.

Another memorable touch was the Honey Kumquat, served as a pre-dinner amuse-bouche. This small, sweet, and crunchy bite was a refreshing start.

While the presentation and service were exceptional, the flavours of the main dishes felt muted. This could perhaps be attributed to Yue He’s focus on Shunde cuisine, which is known for its subtlety and emphasis on natural flavours.
Double Boiled Chicken Soup with Fish Maw

Salted Egg Yolks Custard Bun. This one dish felt like they ran out of ideas of how to present it.

Hailing from the Shunde district in Guangdong Province, Shun De cuisine is a cornerstone of Cantonese culinary tradition. This style of cooking champions freshness and natural flavours, often using minimal seasoning to highlight the quality of the ingredients. Dishes are typically prepared with precision and focus on balance, reflecting a refined yet understated culinary philosophy.
For diners accustomed to bold flavours, the restrained taste profile of Shunde cuisine may require some adjustment. Yue He stays true to these principles, offering a dining experience steeped in authenticity but potentially underwhelming for those expecting more intense flavours.
However, Yue He certainly impresses with its impeccable service, beautiful plating, and many private rooms which include karaoke within it.

The Chinese New Year 2025 Menu starts at RM1,888++ per table of 10 pax.
