Buttermilk Daddy Cafe Babi Gepuk Rice Surprised Me
Babi Gepuk
- RM20 - RM50 per pax
Chiefeater VK found the Babi Gepuk Rice at Buttermilk Daddy Cafe to be a surprisingly good Indonesian-inspired pork dish

Pastries
I recently placed a delivery order from Pizza Italia (a ghost kitchen brand), and it yielded a surprise find that significantly overshadowed the main course. While the kitchen is primarily known for its namesake dish, a side item turned out to be the real star of the meal.

The standout discovery was their Beef Puff. It was generously sized and stuffed with a flavorful beef filling that far exceeded my expectations. At a price point of just RM10.00, it represents exceptional value for money and is a dish I plan to order again.

In comparison, the pizza was competent but fairly standard. While it was a decent enough meal, it lacked the noteworthy “wow factor” found in the puff and didn’t leave a particularly strong impression. However at RM22 for a pizza, it was good value.

Beef Puff – RM10.00
Pizza – RM22.00
Score: 7.0/10
M – Meal Value
The meal value is heavily carried by the beef puff. Finding a high-quality, generously stuffed pastry for RM10.00 is a rare win in the current delivery market. The pizza pricing is standard for mall or boutique outlets but offers average value given its performance.
Score: 7.0/10
V – Vroomness of delivery
The items arrived quickly and the items arrived in good condition, which is a key factor for any delivery-focused establishment.
Score: 7.0/10
X – X-Factor
The true X-factor is the beef puff. It is rare for a supplementary item to be the primary reason for a revisit, but the combination of its size, filling quality, and price makes it a definitive standout in the area.
