Private Room
Brunch at Hock Kee Kopitiam LaLaport was a smooth and enjoyable experience. We managed to book the private room, which can seat up to 10 pax comfortably, making it an excellent choice for a small group gathering in a busy mall environment.

I ordered the Curry Chicken Toast, and it was lovely. The chicken itself stood out for being both firm and tender, and I particularly loved the texture.

The real surprise package of the meal, however, was the Curry Potato Tart. I loved the savouriness of it; it felt very much like a localized version of a quiche.

The outlet at LaLaport maintains the brand’s signature “Muhibbah Coffee Shop” vibe, blending traditional kopitiam elements with a clean, modern aesthetic.
Score: 7.83/10
M – Meal Value
The pricing is very reasonable for a mall-based kopitiam. The quality of the localized bakes, like the curry potato tart, offers a unique flavor profile that provides great value compared to standard cafe pastries.
Score: 8.0/10
V – Venue & Vibes
The availability of a 10-pax private room is a significant advantage for those looking to have a quiet brunch or a small meeting at LaLaport. The interior is bright and nostalgic without feeling dated.
Score: 8.0/10
X – X-Factor
The X-factor is the innovation in localized tarts. Successfully reimagining traditional flavours like curry potato into a savory, quiche-like tart shows a level of culinary creativity that makes Hock Kee more than just a standard coffee shop.
