Chiefeater Kane Chong stopped by Ben's The LINC for brunch and liked the satay, mushroom soup, and big Hainan chicken chop portion

Duck
The focal point of our meal at Pekin Duck & Grill was their signature Peking Duck, and the execution was amazing. But first a bit about the venue. This is an elegant looking place that’s been converted from a shophouse from the 1940s.

This was one of the rooms that can be used as a private room as well.

We ordered a Peking Duck done 3 ways.
They certainly made a spectacle of the presentation.

Carved with expertise

The duck skin was beautifully displayed and was then carved into pristine, glistening sheets that proved to be super crispy, shattering perfectly with each bite.

Serving as part of a structured multi-course presentation, the remaining portions of the bird were transformed into two additional renditions that turned out to be great complements to the initial crispy skin. And continuing with the presentation, it came in a box before it was revealed to us.

We enjoyed a platter of applewood smoked duck leg alongside a fragrant plate of ginger fried duck meat. The smoked leg meat carried a deep, aromatic wood-fired profile, while the stir-fried ginger presentation added a sharp, savory contrast that utilized the remaining duck meat beautifully.
Smoked Duck Leg

Stir Fried Duck

We kept our focus entirely singular, opting not to have anything else other than this spectacular multi-course duck experience.

M – Meal Value
At roughly RM109 per pax for a specialized, three-course artisan duck feast in the heart of the city, the financial utility is excellent. Getting three completely distinct preparations out of a single bird that flew in from Ireland ensures you receive great substance for the premium price point.
Score: 8.2/10
V – Venue & Vibes
The venue blends contemporary grill-house elements with polished Chinese dining comforts, creating a sophisticated atmosphere. It handles the evening flow smoothly with spacious table arrangements and attentive service that suits a slow, course-by-course dinner.
Score: 8.0/10
X – X-Factor
The X-factor is the excellent crunch of the 48-hour air-dried duck skin paired with a distinct smoked leg rendition. Delivering a masterclass in skin texture while refusing to let the remaining meat go to waste by turning it into a premium applewood-smoked course creates an incredibly cohesive poultry showcase.
Score: 8.2/10
