Big Breakfast, Coffee, Pork-Free
Megah Rise is fast becoming the hub of fancy eateries in PJ. Oomph Petaling Jaya is among them. On weekends, you will see a queue lining up to get in. On a weekday of food discovery, Jen and I decided to have breakfast here. I certainly like patronizing the mall.
The big breakfast (RM32++) had two chicken sausages, two pieces of bread, a hashed brown, some vegetables and baked beans. It looked appetizing enough. And the good thing is that it is one of the few places that open at 8 am. Yes, real breakfast time. Not those cafes that open at 10 am or 11 am and then say breakfast is all day. I digress. Breakfast was enough for Jen and I to share.

Given the large space, it is actually a good place to work from on a weekday morning. There are not many people and you can start with a coffee and then indulge in some pastries if you are a light eater. The crew are highly attentive and courteous. The train station at Taman Bahagia is not too far away, though I find the walk over to be rather dangerous.
I did enjoy the coffee here. Coffee is roasted by Brew & Bread so you know you are getting an established profile. They will usually have two types of coffee for you to choose. One smooth and another that would be a bit bolder. Do note Oomph Petaling Jaya stops serving coffee by 5 pm and switch to stronger drinks.
