Pizza, Non-Halal
Chef Antonio Brancato just landed in Singapore in July 2024 and by September 2024 had started Anto Pizza with his cousin from London, who helms the bar. Ballsy, a pizza specialist is akin to a tempura specialist - standing on its own merits, bursting into the hyper competitive food scene in Singapore. Keong Saik as a location adds to that pizzazz.
We had the AOP starter, which is essentially a fried pizza. The best piece of focaccia I’ve ever had in Sg. 8/10
My daughter is a pizza enthusiast - and like how I taught her, started with the Margherita. If you can get a carbonara right - you can’t get ANY pasta right. It’s the same with pizzas. The prices are reasonable - starting at SGD26 for the margherita. Such a steal, this is definitely a 8/10.
I’m not a pizza fan (or Chiefeater VK might call it being snobbish), but this place is undoubtedly the #1 in Singapore at the moment. I’d love to come back and try the chef’s specials - the Melanzana at SGD38 stands out (egg plant based).
The crew at Anto Pizza is top notch. A shoutout to Amar the head bartender who omakase’d our cocktails for us. Anto Pizza uses the vermouth fashioned from Giancarlo Mancini’s imagination - apogee of mixology (I can imagine Anto being a hit with the younger crowds in the edgy Keong Saik setting in the evenings).
Kudos to Chef Antonio and may Anto Pizza elevate Singapore's pizza virtuosity to new heights! This comes very close to the New York pizza experience I had last year. If you’re a pizza afficionado, look no further, this is your new micasa, sucasa.
