Banh Mi, Vietnamese, Non-Halal
Banh Mi Cafe Puchong is one of Puchong’s most popular restaurants, despite the fact that Puchongites have options aplenty. Over 1,800 reviews on Google giving it a 4.2 rating. Some say that they are the best Vietnamese restaurant in Puchong.
What’s good about Banh Mi Cafe Puchong? They serve a variety of Vietnamese cuisine at affordable prices. The staff are fast but courteous. The kitchen is efficient. And the food? It is decent enough catering to local tastebuds. While the food may be Vietnamese, the flavours don’t stray too far away from what locals know. Which means the spicy, sour, bitter, salty and sweet elements tend to be muted.
A Banh Mi Thit Heo Nuôn (Grilled Pork Banh Mi) costs just RM10.50++. The baguette is soft with a slight crispiness on the outside. The filling is a grilled pork with a slightly sweetish seasoning. It’s a competent enough dish.

The Steamed Rice Roll & Fried Spring Roll (RM13.90++) called a Banh Cuon Nong was an interesting order. We had never had it before. I found the fried spring roll too salty. I actually like the steamed rice roll better than its fried brethren.

With drinks, lunch for two came up to just RM36.50. A decent meal is what you get at a decent price.
The ++ is for a 5% service charge and 6% SST
