Chiefeater Luke Soon was eagerly anticipating dining at COTE Korean Steakhouse and they did not disappoint
Chinese, Non-Halal
Craving something different for dinner, we decided to try Blessed Dai Chao at Everyday Food Court via food delivery, a place we hadn't ordered from before. Our choices for the evening were Singapore Fried Meehoon and Marmite Chicken. The Singapore Fried Meehoon, unfortunately, didn't quite hit the mark. It was rather bland, lacking the robust flavors I had hoped for. However, the Marmite Chicken was a delightful surprise. Before even opening the pack, the aroma of the Marmite sauce tantalized our senses and whetted our appetites.
Interestingly, instead of Marmite Chicken, they delivered Marmite Pork. This mix-up turned out to be a happy accident. Stir-fried Marmite Pork is a dish that marries the savory, slightly sweet, and umami-rich taste of Marmite with tender pieces of pork. The pork was perfectly cooked, tender, and coated in a glossy, flavorful sauce that was neither too overpowering nor too subtle. The rich Marmite glaze gave the pork a deliciously sticky and aromatic coating, making each bite incredibly satisfying.
Despite the initial confusion with the order, the Marmite Pork was so good that we had no complaints. It was a dish that truly stood out and left us contemplating ordering it again in the future.
