Pizza, Non-Halal
Craving some comforting pizza, I decided to order from Bottega PJ. Two choices this time — the Picante (RM51) and the Margherita pizzas (RM39). The delivery arrived slightly after the hour mark, but thankfully, the pizzas were still warm when they reached my doorstep.
Both pizzas were enjoyable. The Picante pizza with its spicy salami and the Margherita being the standard test for pizzas all over. Naturally, the crust wasn’t as crisp as it would’ve been fresh out of the oven at the restaurant, but it still held up well — offering a nice chewiness that kept the experience satisfying. The Picante had a rich, savoury punch from the spicy salami, while the Margherita was a lighter, refreshing counterbalance with its simple yet flavourful tomato and cheese combination.
As I’ve noted before, pizzas — when transported properly — tend to travel better than many other dishes, and this order was a good example of that. Paired with a cold beer, it made for a lovely, relaxed meal at home.
A worthwhile option for pizza nights without leaving the house. And this time I had beer to complement the pizzas. Inclusive with delivery charges and a RM7 discount, the total bill came up to RM99.
