Nasi Lemak, Pork-Free
BKK (Bungkus Kaw Kaw) had received some buzz about their supposed lack of sambal. Since I was early for a meeting at Atria, I decided to try the Nasi Lemak Biasa at Bungkus Kaw Kaw Atria. Not surprisingly, I didn’t find any issue with the portion of sambal. In fact, it covered a fair portion of the rice.

The sambal offered a pleasant savoury taste without being overly spicy. For those who prefer a bit of heat, it might fall slightly short, but it suited my palate just fine. The accompanying nuts and ikan bilis were delightfully crisp, adding a satisfying crunch to each bite.

The rice, while a bit on the soft side, still held up well enough to make it a decent base for the dish. For RM4.50, it’s a reasonable offering for a simple yet fulfilling nasi lemak. Not groundbreaking, but definitely good value for money.
