Pasta, Nasi Lemak, Pork-Free
CC by Mel had been open for quite awhile now and while I had seen a lot of pictures of it, I had never been there. And this despite it being nearby at Bukit Jalil.
We were there for lunch on a weekday. I don’t know if they still draw a queue on weekends but I was determined to avoid that.
Jen had a Nasi Lemak CC. (RM30++)
Chicken Karaage | Pickled Daikon I Edamame I Raw Japanese Egg Yolk I Furikake I Ebi Sambal
She said the Sambal was good. It is the time that doesn’t hit you immediately but takes a while to build. So you get to enjoy the flavours before the slight tingling of the spice sets in. However the rice was a bit clumpy. That wasn’t quite as satisfying as the rest of the ingredients.
I ordered a plate of Miso Lamb Ragu (RM38++)
Miso Pomodoro I Braised Lamb I Grana Padano I
Raw Japanese Egg Yolk
This was one of the best tasting plate of pasta I have had. I could find fault and say the pasta was not quite a firm to the bite as I would like it. But the taste of the dish was so good. I would not have thought that the Miso and Pomodoro (tomato) would have combined to produce a creamy sauce. The dish was excellent, with the flavours so well seasoned. Their use of ingredients was so well balanced.
We rounded off lunch with a Biscoff Croffle. (RM10++)
Biscoff Spread I Caramel Crumbs I Lotus Biscoff
The Biscoff Spread was delightful. I must say that is the first time I have had it. The caramel flavour was enjoyable. Take note this is a sweet dish. I did think the croffle was too hard.
Dining here is an expensive affair but you get a delightful meal.
