Yellow Lane Lunch
Western, Non-Halal
Chiefeater Paula Tan had a splash of tropical colours with the lovely looking food at Yellow Lane in Bangkok
Hunan, Non-Halal
Friday is always a date with my weekly Makan Kaki as I surprised them to a Hunan hidden gem, Chilli Queen of Hunan. One that I happened to come across some weeks ago, walking past my regular ramen joint in Carnegie. It reminded me of the good ole days, living in Guangzhou for 6 months learning Hunan cuisine and regularly having Hunan cuisine from a Hunan native.
Typical traditional Hunan fish head. Must have … as good as the ones from Shanghai.
Typical Hunan vegetable dish with chilli n pork,
Hunan cabbage was excellent. In China, they would add pork belly slices.
Hunan braised pork belly. We prefers the shanghai version.
