Cakes
The culinary offerings at Empat Sekawan Puchong Jaya over two days provided an interesting study in contrasts. On my initial visit, the Cendol Ice Blended felt relatively ordinary, delivering a standard sweet profile that didn’t particularly stand out from traditional street-side iterations.

But what took me in during the first visit was their environment. It was an expansive space that was packed yet comfortable. I am sure it had to do with the high ceiling and the amount of light streaming in from the wall to ceiling windows.

However, my second-day order of the Cempedak Baked Cheese Cake completely rewritten the script. It was an absolute revelation. Rather than the dense, sticky, or overly heavy crumb structure typical of tropical fruit cakes, the texture here was magnificently engineered—yielding an airy, velvety consistency that felt almost like a thick, luxurious mousse. The distinct, fragrant aroma of premium cempedak integrated flawlessly with the tangy richness of the cheese base. They did admit they sourced it from a supplier but this is a great place to have it at.

Paired with a robust, heavily concentrated Cham Peng Kao Kao, it represents a world-class dessert experience that justifies an immediate return visit.
Cempedak Baked Cheesecake: RM17.90
Cham Peng Kao Kao: RM10.90
MVX Score: 7.9/10
M – Meal Value
At over RM50 for a single-pax afternoon tea consisting of a beverage, a blended dessert, and a premium slice of cake, it sits firmly in the luxury lifestyle bracket. However, the exceptional technical execution of the cempedak cake and the high-utility comfort of the property preserve solid value.
Score: 7.5/10
V – Venue & Vibes
The spatial design is an undeniable masterpiece for the area. The combination of soaring industrial iron roofs, expansive glass windows overlooking manicured gravel courts, and an elite cooling system provides a beautifully relaxed vibe that easily outclasses standard neighborhood shop-lots.
Score: 8.8/10
X – X-Factor
The X-factor is the mousse-like elegance of the cempedak cheesecake. Elevating a notoriously fibrous, heavy indigenous fruit into an incredibly smooth, texturally delicate baked confection delivers a level of pastry mastery that is genuinely memorable.
Score: 7.5/10
