Chiefeater Alwyn David tried Xinga Pot in Uptown and found the sour vege and mushroom soups well-seasoned and packed with flavour

Chinese, Non-Halal
Several friends and I convened at Extra Super Tanker Tropicana Gardens Mall for a memorable dinner. We decided to book a private room because one of our friends wanted a place to sing. Ironically, he didn’t end up singing, but the private room added a cozy and exclusive touch to our evening.

We started our meal with a simple fried rice, setting a delicious tone for the courses to follow. The highlight of the night was the Steamed Soon Hock. The fish was fresh and nicely steamed, with a delicate flavour that pleased our palates.

Next, we enjoyed the Peipa Duck, which came with sides of mantou. The duck was succulent and the mantou, soft and fluffy, made for a delightful accompaniment.

The Stir Fried Vegetables provided a refreshing contrast to the richer dishes, and the Iberico Ribs were tender and packed with flavour.

Although it may not sound like much, the variety and quality of the dishes were perfect for our group of five. The night was made even more enjoyable with the whiskies we brought along, adding a convivial spirit to the gathering.
It was a night well spent with good food, great company, and a touch of luxury in the private dining room at Extra Super Tanker Tropicana.
