delicious mushroom zhu jiang noodles at Green Garden YSL Food Court. i especially like the sauce. actually i was not sure of how the zhu jiang noodles tasted like before i bought it. at first when i read 'mushroom.... noodles', i thought like some kind of plain or standard noodles, add mushroom (and i don't really like mushroom, especially the big ones).
i was in for a pleasant surprise when i found the noodles came with minced meat.... and no mushroom (big) can be seen. er.... actually yes, there are mushrooms but those tiny ones... or are they bigger mushroom cut into small pieces?
i like the sauce very much. this type of sauce mixed with the minced meat, really make the whole thing delicious. it was only after i ate, when i google for this kind of noodle, i found out that the "minced meat is simmered in a dark, thick, salty, soybean sauce". oh no wonder.... the meat looks so dark and also as mentioned, can feel the sauce in the meat.
the noodles were quite a lot too and at RM8.00, is a good price.
zhen zhu geng noodle. it's kind of like mee sua kor but using bee tai bak (loh si fun). i like it.
this is found at the 'DML chinese cuisine' stall (old name) located at Green Garden YSL Food Court. this stall used to be at perak rd before the place was torn down for development in nov 2022. they sell a lot of other food too, as you can see from the signboard menu here.
