Tang Jai Yoo Restaurant Teochew Dinner
Teochew
Chiefeater Patrick Sato Lee had a simple Teochew style dinner at Tang Jai Yoo Restaurant in Bangkok's Chinatown

Pork Trotter Vinegar, Chicken Rice, Non-Halal
Visited Lim Chicken Rice, a roadside store opposite Leisure Mall Cheras for lunch today. Note their signboard states Lam Kee Chicken Rice. They serve kampung chicken. Order drumstick however they ran out of it so we settled for breast meat.
When I asked the elderly uncle serving us about the vinegar pork trotter his eyes lighted up and say that it is very nice. I ordered one portion. Man, I must say it is the best vinegar pork trotter we had ever eaten so far. The source flavour is very even and so satisfying nice. The pork meat is fresh and the fat parts are very soft, it just melt in my mouth.
The uncle said that people likes it so much that it quickly ran out and what we eat was their second pot for the day. They freshly cooked it for 4 hours each day, no wonder the meat is so fresh. He said they use very good quality ingredients in it, that’s makes it taste so good. I like that the pork comes in big chunks, real satisfying to bite on. Commended how good it was to uncle and told him we shall return for it again.
For vinegar pork trotter lover this is a humble place that you should pay a visit to. We are glad to found a new makan spot in Cheras. Oh ya, the free soup that came with it is so good we finished every drop of it. Will ask for extra large bowl next time like what the table next to us did.
Total bill for one portion of pork trotter and chicken rice came up to RM31.
