Chiefeater Chu Boon had kopi, nasi goreng and chicken chop at Luan Fong Legacy, a Butterworth gem

Western
Bedrock Bar & Grill Steakhouse Somerset, hidden behind 313 Somerset, from the façade looks like a small outdoor bar in town, but as you are led further in, reveals a modern and cosy L.A style restaurant.
I’ve been here many times, and to their other outlets across the island – but back to the OG this time.
As you’ve probably figured, good steak is 80% origin and type of meat used, 20% cooking technique. Bedrock Bar and Grill has managed to bring out the full potential of a grilled steak and is definitely one of the best steakhouses in Singapore, although the price for quality is a steep one here (not as steep as CUT by Wolfgang Puck though.
The French onion soup was good at 7/10; loved the smokiness of the cheese on top.

The bone marrow was just at 6/10 – didn’t match CUT, Burnt End’s and COTE’s from recent experiences.

The Hanwoo was done medium rare and came out good at 7/10

Definitely a step up from Fireplace at Bedrock- the supposed Burnt Ends killer from the same franchise.
The OG never disappoints; it’s like a high-end Coliseum from the 1960s and 1970s for those of you whom can resonate.
