Char Kuey Teow, Street Food, Non-Halal
I had a bit of apprehension before I ordered from this Char Kuey Teow stall at Medan Selera Everyday because they had fried rice and fried mee as well as fried kuey teow. Sometimes too many SKUs means they might not be good at everything. But looking at how busy they looked, I decided to give it a try.

The wok hei of the CKT not the strongest when it arrived, but once I bit into it, that was a different matter. The heat from the extra chili folded nicely into the CKT. The cockles were fresh and plump, adding a briny note that lifted each bite.

For RM9, you get a decent plate cooked to order with 2 pieces of succulent prawn.

I added a cup of white coffee for a classic kopitiam combo that completed the experience.

Char Kuey Teow (RM9) with extra chili and raw cockles, plus a cup of white coffee (RM4.20).
