Jen was craving mee goreng, and we found ourselves at Nasi Kandar Makbul for a quick and satisfying breakfast. It was a simple order — just a plate of mee goreng — but it delivered exactly what we needed to start the day.

The noodles were well-fried with that slightly charred wok hei aroma, carrying a good balance of savoury and spice. The sambal heat was present but not overpowering, leaving room for the flavours of the soy sauce, egg, and greens to come through.

At RM6, it was a wallet-friendly and comforting beginning to the morning. Nothing fancy, just familiar flavours done well — the kind of breakfast that quietly does its job and leaves you content.
