Chiefeater VK was back for the YTF at Margaret Yong Tau Fu and found the visit a pleasant reacquaintance

Japanese, Pork-Free
It had been ages since our last visit to Nippori, back when they operated out of a humble stall in Bland Section 51A. This time, we found ourselves at their new outlet in Publika. It's clear they've come a long way since then, with an expanded menu and a thriving business.
Opting for the chicken nanban set, I was pleasantly surprised by its generous portion size and appealing presentation. For those unfamiliar, chicken nanban is a Japanese dish consisting of crispy fried chicken that's been marinated, typically in a sweet and tangy sauce, before being coated in batter and fried.

The chicken nanban at Nippori did not disappoint. The chicken was perfectly cooked – juicy on the inside with a satisfying crunch on the outside. The tangy sweetness of the marinade complemented the savory flavors beautifully.
Aside from the delicious chicken, the set also came with a variety of sides that added to the overall dining experience. From fragrant rice, a bowl of steamed eggs to crisp vegetables and , every component of the meal was thoughtfully prepared and plated.

Overall, my experience at Nippori was a delightful reminder of why they've become a beloved name in the KL dining scene.
