Chinese, Non-Halal
We scored a hat trick covering the Big3 of Chinese fine cuisine in Singapore. Opened in 2019, Paradise Dynasty Wisma Atria is the Paradise Group’s answer to Din Tai Fung. You can see the minor differences in their go to market strategies – but that’s not a topic for today.
The lazhi or Szechuan spiced fried chicken is one of our comfort foods here. Consistently 7/10

The egg fried rice – what DTF is famous for – Paradise does better IMHO. Sure, the prices are marginally higher vs DTF, but the quality is distinctly higher. For egg fried rice – nobody does it better. I’m talking purist egg fried rice.

The wontons in chilli and vinegar are also superior at 7/10

The conpoy with egg white is delectably fresh and dazzling to your tastebuds. Silky smooth and light to the taste. This is easily 7.25/10

The broccoli was a little letdown 6/10 but my daughter needs to eat her greens!

We didn’t get the XLB this trip down, but they’re consistently good too at 7/10 each time over the years. This particular outlet opened in 2019 but their flagship (to us) is the Teochew at Ngee Ann.
