Chiefeater Eileen Leong had a dim sum breakfast with her family members at Zhen Hi Hao Dim Sum Restaurant
Ramen, Japanese, Non-Halal
Trying out a small Japanese restaurant named Raku Ichi near Tanjong Bungah area. The food was full with surprises. Really, a small restaurant with a big dreams. Can feel their passion about the food and doing their best to served. Salute them. We ordered 3 dishes and the owner treated us to a dish.
1) Takoyaki RM8.80 (FOC)
The taste just nice and the texture chewy on the surface but soft and creamy inside. Enjoy it very much.
2) Kyushu Ramen RM26.80
Tonkotsu soup broth is based on pork bones and other ingredients which are typically boiled for several hours. It is rich and creamy topped with sliced pork belly, spring onion , seaweed, egg.
Texture of the ramen are just nice for me, it was chewy and cooked with al dente. (Ramen can be customised) and the taste of the soup was fantastic for me. So flavourful and not salty at all. Oh yes the pork belly. OH WOW! OH WOW!OH WOW! It was fascinating.
3) Chicken Katsu Don RM11.90
Comprising a bowl of rice topped with deep-fried chicken, eggs and onions in a dashi-based sauce. Chicken was crispy in the outer layer and juicy inside. And the sauce was fantastic. It mixed very well with the ingredients and rice.
4) Gyoza (6 pieces) RM12.90
It’s bigger size compared to most of the others I have ordered. Taste was nice but I found it too blend for my taste buds.
Overall ii was a good experience at Raku Ichi and I enjoyed it very much. Will definitely come again for more
Closed on Thursdays.
The rest of days 12pm-2.30pm, 5pm- 10pm
