Today, I made a special trip to a highly recommended small restaurant in Kajang. Despite a minor fire earlier in the morning, thankfully, no one was injured, and the restaurant continued to operate, serving us mouthwatering claypot fresh fish rice and fragrant wine fish bone soup.
Claypot Fresh Fish Rice
The fresh fish here is sliced on the spot when ordered, ensuring incredible freshness. The fish slices are thick and have a rich, layered texture. Paired with a special soy sauce, the flavor is unforgettable after just one bite!
Claypot Wine Fish Bone Soup
The soup, made with napa cabbage, red dates, and fish bones, has a touch of wine, giving it a light aroma. One sip warms you right to the heart. The broth is sweet and savory, with the fish bones cooked until tender, perfectly complementing the flavor of the fresh fish.
We ordered a portion of fresh fish rice and wine fish bone soup for two, costing RM90, which was more than enough for three people to enjoy. Do you think it's worth the price?
We also added a serving of Thai-style hand-tossed "Pak Kor Choy" (RM18). Its sweet and sour flavor is incredibly appetizing—highly recommended!
If you're keen to try these unique flavors, head over to Liu Yi Seafood Restaurant in Kajang—it's not to be missed!
