Tanjung Sepat Ocean Seafood Fried Pork Belly
Post by Chiefeater Yeap Chu Seng
Today's working trip brings me to Tanjung Sepat, in Banting, for the umpteenth time. Having tried numerous popular restaurants, we decided to have brunch at a different place this time - Tanjung Sepat Ocean Seafood Restaurant.
The restaurant is situated under the canopy of two large trees, thus was not too warm. It's a typical Chinese style restaurant with plastic chairs and tables, with whirling ceiling and wall fan.
We ordered a Hokkien-styled fried beehoon, crispy oyster omelette, thick tofu soup and fried pork belly.
The fried beehoon was normal in taste.
oyster omelette
thick tofu soup with an added dash of black vinegar was akin to having shark fin soup, sans the guilty feeling.
The pork belly was braised with taucu, with a hint of Chinese yellow wine. It was quite yummy.
Friendly and chatty owner, service was prompt, food was acceptable, while price is slightly on the higher side, as expected in touristy Tanjung Sepat.
