Italian
Trattoria Nonna Lina is a family-run Italian restaurant situated in Singapore’s Outram Park neighborhood. Inspired by owner Simone’s grandmother, Nonna Lina, the eatery offers traditional Tuscan dishes such as handmade pappardelle, fiorentina steak, and a unique lemon sorbet. The rustic ambiance and authentic recipes provide a genuine Italian dining experience.
Chef Simone helms a quaint little restaurant with pasta dishes packed full of flavour! I was pleasantly surprised by how generous the chef was with the seafood. The complimentary bruschetta with tomatoes was a delightful touch. We’ve been here about a decade ago. It was good then I recall, but Chef Simone has since, really took things into his own hands.
This is the seafood soup, which was excellent. Chef Simone is every generous with his seafood portions.

The crab penne was exquisite. The theme of the night was seafood as we were told Chef Simone’s specialty is as such.

The porcini and truffles with pork chorizo was spectacular, but we had memories of Tartufo haunting us. This was 6.5/10 for me

The highlight for me was the lobster in white wine sauce and the octopus (pulpo). Both dishes were 7.5/10.
Lobster in Wine Sauce

Pulpo with pine nuts and celery bits

The overall experience at Trattoria Nonna Lina was a solid 7/10. Their wine list is respectable as well.
