Asam Laksa
I recently tried the Fried Asam Laksa from Wang Bu Liao Puchong. This dish puts a unique spin on the traditional soup-based classic by stir-frying it, resulting in a meal that feels light yet flavorful.

The laksa featured a nice tangy profile, with the deep seafood flavors of the fish expertly mixed into springy “Lai fun” (rice noodles). Each bite was well-balanced, providing the signature sourness of asam laksa without the heaviness of a thick broth.

There were also generous amounts of fish within the fried laksa. They did not stinge on ingredients.

X – X-Factor
The standout feature is the texture and flavor balance of the stir-fried “Lai fun.” Successfully translating the complex, tangy essence of asam laksa into a dry, springy noodle dish is an impressive culinary feat.
