Chicken Chop, Pork-Free
Dropped by Wong Zhi Kopi at IOI Boulevard for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by their grilled chicken chop. The star? That black pepper sauce — bold, spicy, and unapologetically pedas, it gave the dish a proper kick without overwhelming the savoury grilled chicken underneath.
The chicken itself was nicely charred at the edges, juicy inside, and portioned just right. Paired with crinkle-cut fries (crisp outside, fluffy inside), a dollop of ketchup in a sauce plate, and a side salad with fresh cherry tomatoes and lettuce, it was a solid plate that hit the spot for a casual weekday lunch.
Simple, satisfying, and fiery. I like.
