Taiwanese, Pork-Chop, Non-Halal
While wandering around Bandar Puteri 2, we came across Yu Pin Xiang, a Taiwanese eatery with a clean interior and bright lights that immediately caught our eye. It looked inviting, so we decided to step in and sample a few dishes: pork chop la mian, a small serving of xiao long bao, spicy chicken with sesame peanut sauce, and caramelised vinaigrette chicken wings.
The xiao long bao (RM8.80) tasted decent, though the dumplings were a bit small in size.
The spicy chicken with sesame peanut sauce (RM19.90) also impressed, with a good balance of heat and nuttiness that made it enjoyable.
However, it was the caramelised vinaigrette chicken wings (RM15.90) that surprised us with their sweet and sour profile, making them a truly appetising dish.
But the real highlight was the pork chop la mian (RM19.90). The pork chop itself was the star—moist, tender, and grilled to perfection with a savoury flavour that made each bite memorable. The la mian, however, was slightly disappointing as the broth wasn’t hot enough for my liking. The noodles by themselves were quite bland, and I found that they really needed to be eaten together with the pork to be fully appreciated.
