Chiefeater Luke Soon had dim sum at 5 ON 25, an unusual sounding name for a fine Cantonese cuisine restaurant

Roast Pork, Lamb Shank, Smoked Duck, Wine, Non-Halal
I was back at Cincin Megah Rise Mall, this time for dinner and lots of wine. Our foodie festcapade commenced with the Roast Pork. The pictures below don’t quite do it justice as the skin was a joy to bite into, crackling under pressure of the bite. It had a nice equilibrium between the succulent lean meat and the indulgent layers of fat. I did not even bother to dip it into the sauce. It was good to enjoy by itself or paired with the red wine. I have Chiefeater David Chong to thank for dinner.

The Lamb Shank took us on a savoury expedition. Its tender meat that seemed to melt effortlessly in the mouth.

The Iberico Ribs revealed a delightful interplay of savouriness and tenderness.

And then came the the Smoked Duck. Each slice unveiled a tale of excellence—tender, moist, and bursting with flavour. The meticulous preparation of the duck was evident in every bite taking us to a place of gustatory pleasure.

As the evening drew to a close, Chiefeater Luke Soon decided to enhance the experience further with a bottle of 2017 Pauillac de Latour. This choice at Cincin Megah Rise Mall proved to be a stroke of genius, as the wine’s complex and elegant taste notes danced harmoniously with the flavours of the smoked duck.
