Beef Noodles, Street Food, Non-Halal
It was another cool day, and I was craving something that would warm me up. I had read that some people consider. Good Taste Rice And Noodle House to have the best beef noodles in Cheras, so I decided to give it a try.
Interestingly, you wouldn't think this place sells beef noodles at first glance because their main items are roast pork and other meats. I had to check the menu to make sure I was in the right place.
I actually wanted a "kon low" or dry beef noodles, but what came was a soup version instead. Since it was a cold day, I decided to go with it. The beef was tender and had a good taste. However, what was missing was the correct chili sauce to match the beef. They only had the chili sauce meant for roast pork, which did not complement the beef.
If you then query, what am I there to eat. I am there to enjoy the full potential of the dish. And the wrong chili sauce was a missed opportunity. The broth could have been more robust as well.
While the soup version was decent, I think I would have preferred the dry version. The meal was satisfactory, but it left me curious to see if the dry noodles would have been a better match for my taste.
The bowl of beef noodles was RM12 which is a fair price.
