Chiefeater VK discovered mutton and chicken skewer delights at Sour Little 7 IOI Puchong which is more famous for it's fish

Chicken Chop, Nasi Lemak, Pork-Free
Guan’s Puchong is a short distance from my place but since I didn’t want to waste the time going out to dine, I decided to order it via GrabFood. Given the distance, it was less than RM5 for the delivery and it made sense not to dine out.
Chicken Chop is one of the dishes that does not travel well. But since it was a short distance it would have little impact on the quality of the dish. The Hainanese Chicken Chop (RM27.90) arrived hot with items like the coleslaw and sauce separated. While the chicken portion looked small, it was well seasoned, tender inside and crispy on the outside. The sauce however was where the dish faltered. Their sauce tasted like a Lingham chilli sauce rather than a tomato based house made Hainanese sauce.

I also ordered a Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken (RM19.90). The rice was firm and fragrant. The fried chicken while tasty, was a little mushy for my liking. The meat didn’t have the tenderness of the chicken chop.

The best part of the meal was actually the Iced Cham (RM5.90). On previous visits there, I had found their local coffee too strong and their tea too weak. So I thought ordering a Cham which combines both and then having it iced should negate the things I did not like about it. Voila, third time is the charm. The combination worked and I would not mind ordering the Cham again. Their drink packaging is solid. Not a single drop spilled.

Editor’s Note
Guan labels their outlet as Guan’s Pusat Bandar Puchong if you are looking for it on Google Maps. Technically, they are actually at Bandar Metro Puchong.
