Huckleberry Pavilion Bukit Jalil Reuben Sandwich
Post by Chiefeater VK
It has been awhile since we dined at Bukit Jalil and Jen and I decided to have lunch at Huckleberry Pavilion Bukit Jalil. It's always a treat to explore new spots. Huckleberry Pavilion Bukit Jalil is hidden in an almost hidden corner of the complex, right at the exit of Food Merchant.
Jen opted for the Breakfast Bagel (RM14.00+) for lunch. The bagel contained scrambled eggs, beef bacon, romaine, and garlic aioli. While the bagel itself a good, the ingredients did not come well together to Jen's liking. Surprisingly Jen found too much mayo in it eventhough if wasn't stated as an ingredient.
As for me, I went for the Classic Reuben (RM28.90+). This sandwich featured beef pastrami, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing. For those unfamiliar, Russian dressing is a tangy and creamy condiment made from ingredients like mayonnaise, horseradish, and spices. The bread used was notable for striking the right balance between a crust that's not too tough to bite and a soft chewy interior. However, the filling fell short, especially when compared to the more generously filled sandwiches at places like Kenny Hills Coffee. I personally felt it was undersized. I actually had to look for something else to eat after my meal here.
